Less Chemicals

Traditional lawn programs combine herbicides, pesticides etc. with their fertilizers into a single product, the notorious weed & feed products, or worse the tanker trucks filled with their toxic stew, apply their chemical products over the entire lawn, many times over the season, irrespective of actual weed or insect status on lawn. This method, while keeping their labor costs low, results in unsafe lawn chemicals being significantly over-applied throughout the season. Over-applying lawn chemicals is not only potentially unsafe for family and pets — it also decimates the natural microbial system in the soil, which is the key to great, healthy lawns.  Healthy thick lawns are the result of a healthy soil foundation.  

A healthier alternative

Our business model recognizes that growing grass and managing weeds are two separate functions. For growing grass we use only very high quality fertilizers, absent herbicides, insecticides, etc. just a great food source for the turf. Our weed management is handled through targeted spot treatment. After the fertilization step our technicians walk the property again - a second time - systematically and carefully spot treating the weeds. This is a much more labor-intensive approach assures we minimize chemicals applied - use only what is needed. And in between fertilizer applications we check and spot weed treat all our properties at NO additional charge.
